One of my goals for 2016 was to make the most of my Babylock Ovation Serger and all of the feet that came with it.  I found the perfect project that fit the bill, Creative Tote by Deb Canham Studios.  Deb is currently doing a sew-a-long Creative Tote Tutorial in a Yahoo Group for Babylock Sergers.  I am in love with decorative threads, they are soooo much fun!!!!

The design of the bag just begs for loud fabrics.  As you can see, I found the perfect fabrics for the project.  I am currently planning another bag, this one will be displaying Pittsburgh Steeler fabrics.  Stay tuned for photos of the new bag.

Been awhile since I posted on my blog.  There are too many other options out there to post pictures of my creations, Facebook and Instagram for instance.

One of my latest project (among many) is a yearlong sew along, The Splendid Sampler with Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson.  Each week we receive a pattern for 2 blocks, Sunday & Thursday, along with some bonus blocks and projects along the way.  Each block is 6 x 6 finished, 6 ½ x 6 ½ unfinished.  Blocks vary with piecing, applique, hand embroidery and paper piecing.  I don't do much hand embroidery anymore so my skills are rusty and so are my hands.  It's not as easy as it used to be.  The paper piecing is a learning experience and I am liking it and the applique is a breeze with my Babylock Destiny.
